For Jovonna Wallace, this year's Random Act of Kindness became an opportunity not only to serve others but also to do so alongside the people she loves most.
A Family Committed to Serving
Both Jovonna and her husband faithfully serve as ministers at their church.
Their commitment to serving others has also inspired the next generation, as their two teenage children proudly volunteer as Ambassador Leaders within the church community.
Together, they understand that kindness isn't simply something we talk about.
It's something we live.
It's something we pass on.
It's something we model for those who are watching.
A Celebration for Tomorrow's Leaders
Over the weekend, their church hosted its annual Youth Conference, "NextFest," a special event designed to encourage, inspire, and invest in young people.
As part of the conference, organizers planned a community brunch and invited members to donate food for the gathering.
Jovonna immediately saw it as the perfect opportunity to participate in FM Talent's Random Acts of Kindness 2026 Campaign.
Rather than bringing just one item, she spent time preparing several homemade dishes for the event.
And she made sure to include something especially memorable...
Her famous banana pudding for the team.
More Than a Meal
A homemade meal has a way of saying things that words sometimes cannot.
"We're glad you're here."
"You're appreciated."
"Someone took the time to prepare this just for you."
Every dish Jovonna prepared reflected those messages.
The food nourished more than hungry guests.
It nourished fellowship.
It strengthened community.
And it created an atmosphere where young people could gather, learn, grow, and be encouraged.
Sometimes kindness is served one plate at a time.
Passing Kindness to the Next Generation
Perhaps the most inspiring part of Jovonna's story is that her children were part of the experience.
By serving together, they witnessed firsthand what compassion looks like in action.
