Sometimes we don't have to go looking for opportunities to be kind.
Sometimes...
Kindness finds us.
For Josezetta Morrissey, this year's FM Talent Random Acts of Kindness Campaign was her very first opportunity to participate, and she wasn't quite sure when or where her moment would come.
As it turns out...
It arrived on an extremely hot day at a neighborhood gas station.
A Stranger in Need
While stopping for gas, Josezetta noticed a young man, around 25 years old, walking from person to person asking if anyone could spare a little money for gas.
His car sat stranded nearby.
The summer heat was relentless.
He was drenched in sweat.
And the look on his face said everything.
He wasn't looking for charity.
He was simply hoping someone would help him get home.
Like so many people today, he had found himself caught between rising expenses and an unexpected hardship.
The Perfect Moment
Josezetta immediately knew this was the opportunity she had been waiting for.
She handed him the FM Talent Kindness Gift envelope and explained the purpose behind the Random Acts of Kindness campaign.
That this wasn't simply money.
It was an intentional gift from a company that believes kindness has the power to change lives.
The young man's reaction said it all.
He thanked her again...
And again...
And again.
Sometimes gratitude doesn't need many words.
It simply overflows.
More Than Twenty Dollars
On paper...
It was twenty dollars.
But in that moment...
It was relief.
It was hope.
It was reassurance.
It was the difference between feeling stranded and knowing someone cared enough to help.
One act of kindness didn't just buy gasoline.
It restored peace of mind.
It reminded someone that compassion still exists.
And perhaps most importantly...
It reminded a stranger that they weren't facing life's challenges completely alone.
A First Experience She'll Never Forget
Reflecting on her experience, Josezetta shared something that beautifully captures the heart of RAK 2026:
"It was amazing to see what a difference $20 could make in someone's day, and possibly even in someone's life in that very moment."
