RAK 2025 Blog | Our First Entry of Kindness
Because every little bit truly helps.
We’re so excited to launch the first official blog post in our Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) 2025 series, and it’s a beautiful reminder of just how impactful small acts can be.
This entry comes from an FM Talent employee who wishes to remain anonymous, but whose gesture speaks volumes about compassion, awareness, and action.
“Over 1 million people in the DC metro area
are food insecure.”
That sobering truth sparked this employee to take action. With summer approaching and school letting out, thousands of children will soon lose access to daily meals they rely on during the academic year. Local organizations have been stepping up, and so did one of our own.
💛 Instead of just thinking about the issue, they did something.
They made a $40 donation to the Capital Area Food Bank, an organization working tirelessly to fill a critical need in our region. The donation also aligned with Wegman’s “Fill the Bus” initiative, aimed at gathering support for the food-insecure in our community. Even more, the Food Bank has a dedicated section to assist displaced federal workers who are also facing hardship.
“Every little bit helps,” they said, and we couldn’t agree more.
Why This Matters
This act of kindness doesn’t just support an organization, it nourishes families. It uplifts communities. And it reminds us all that, whether it’s $20, $40, or a simple gesture of care, what we give ripples outward in ways we can’t always see.
Thank you to this generous team member for kicking off our campaign in such a meaningful way.
