Hope in Action: FM Talent’s Fall Outreach Warms Hearts

intentional Joy THANK YOU!!, diverse hands in shape of a heart and ballons floating all over

As part of our sustainability initiative, FM Talent visited a women’s shelter twice in September -UCAP (United Communities Against Poverty).

While our two-month Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) campaign may have officially wrapped up, the spirit of giving and service continues at FM Talent—because kindness doesn’t follow a calendar.

In September, as part of our Sustainability Initiative, our incredible FM Talent team brought compassion and career empowerment to the women of UCAP (United Communities Against Poverty). Over the course of two heartfelt visits, we didn't just deliver donations—we delivered hope, skills, and connection.

✨ On September 16, 2025, we hosted a Resume Writing Workshop, offering one-on-one support and taking the time to uplift each woman’s story and skills.

✨ On September 30, 2025, we returned for an Interviewing Tips Session, helping participants prepare for the next step in their career journey with confidence and authenticity.

🧡 Meanwhile, back at our corporate office, employees gathered Intentional Joy Donations—bags and boxes full of clothing, children’s items, and essentials—items that could immediately make a difference for families trying to regain stability.

And because kindness shows up in all the little ways too, Dr. Ventrese Stanford made sure that the participants and their children were greeted with warm, nourishing meals at each session—because job readiness doesn’t matter if you’re hungry.

The FM Talent volunteers—Dr. Ventrese Stanford, Layla White, Angela Tate, and Paula Johnson—brought energy, encouragement, and empathy to every conversation. 💫

🌱 A Ripple Effect of Good

This wasn’t part of our official RAK campaign, but it beautifully reflects our belief that impact should be ongoing. In the face of uncertainty—government shutdowns, economic shifts, or life’s daily challenges—acts of kindness, no matter how big or small, help ground us all.

So we ask you:

What are you doing for others?

In the words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., "Life's most persistent and urgent question is, 'What are you doing for others?'"

💬 Share your stories in the comments. Whether you offered a kind word, gave someone a hand up, or simply made a stranger smile—your goodness matters.

Together, let’s keep this spirit going year-round. Let’s keep showing up. Let’s keep choosing kindness.
